Can I control my motorized shades with Alexa or Google?

Yes. In addition to voice control, you can also set up room scenes and time events.

I don’t have an electric outlet near my window. Can I still have motorized shades?

Yes, most manufacturers now offer battery-powered motors. Many motorized shades are now made with rechargeable lithium ion batteries that are concealed inside the tube. This means you will never see a battery pack or change batteries. Charging your shades is now as simple as charging a phone—just plug it in and leave it for about 3 hours.

Can I add a motor to existing shades?

After a shade is installed, it cannot be retroactively motorized. If you want to motorize a shade, it should be done on the initial order.

How often do battery-powered shades need to be recharged?

It depends on how frequently you use them, but we normally see batteries last somewhere between eight and twelve months before they require charging.

How long does it take to get an estimate?

We typically schedule your initial consultation within 48 hours. You will be provided an estimate before we leave your home, as we take pride in providing you real estimates in real time. We rarely need to “go back to the shop and put it together.”

Initial consultations take approximately one hour in the home or space that you’d like to fit for window coverings.

How long will the project take?

We can usually have products delivered in 4-6 weeks, and we try to install the same week we receive your products. You will receive an email from us as soon as we have an estimated ship date from the manufacturer. Once we receive tracking information from the shipping company, we can schedule your installation.

How much do custom window coverings cost?

It depends! Custom window coverings are unique, and every home or business is different. Prices vary depending on window size, product line, material choice, and control options. There are options for almost any budget, and we can provide you a detailed price the same day we come out to take measurements.

How long is the warranty?

Many of our products come with a limited lifetime warranty. We will be happy to provide you a copy of the manufacturer warranty at our initial consultation. In the event you have a problem, call us and we will take care of processing your claim and get your custom window covering repaired or replaced.
