Banded shades are new to the window covering industry. Invented in the early 2000’s by Lafayette Interior Fashions. This shade has become popular with many Oklahomans. We find people like banded shades for their durability, easy cleaning, wide range of control options, excellent light control and numerous color and texture options. Despite the many variables, we will do our best to give you a general range of pricing expectations.
Common pricing variables include.
- Fabric selection: There are between 6 and 8 fabric “price groups” in most Banded shade collections. Fabric weight, opacity, roll width and popularity impact how fabric is priced.
- Control type: Banded shades come standard with continuous cord loop. Adding motorization will impact price, (See our article on motor pricing). Using a zero-gravity cordless lift system will also impact price, though not as much as motors.
- Top treatment: Banded shades come standard with a cassette, modern cassette, or board mounted valance.
- Size: Size is something to consider when pricing window coverings. The pricing listed in this article will be for “standard” window sizes. We will price a 36 x 72 and a 72 x 72 inch window.
Pricing Ranges:
36×72 | Standard options range from | $375.00 | to | $600.00 |
72×72 | Standard options range from | $625.00 | to | $1125.00 |
Adding a zero-gravity cordless lift system will generally add about $50.00 per shade.
